BIOGRAPHYFishing has always been such a huge part of my life. My earliest memories of my fishing experience was sitting on the shores of White Rock Lake in Dallas, with nothing but a container of worms and a cane pole with my dad. At about 9 years old we moved to Houston and I was fortunate enough to have about 1000 acres of farm and forests behind my house. I never learned who owned that land, but they didnt seem to mind kids shooting their guns or fishing their ponds everyday after school. Growing up all over texas, I was never far from great bass lakes and I dont think many weeks went by when I... wasnt fishing somewhere. About 20 years ago, I moved to NW Arkansas. These clear Ozark lakes were a new fishing experience for me after always fishing the muddy waters of Texas. Living near Beaver lake, I always owned boats or had access to boats and still spent as much time on the water as I had always throughout my life. About 8 years ago, on a trip to the beach, I rented a kayak and paddled out through the breakers. After catching many redfish, and even a 5 foot hammerhead shark, I fell in love with kayak fishing. It took me a few years to get a yak here in Arkansas, but I finally did. One day about 3 years ago, while messing around on Facebook, I found Arkansas Kayak Anglers and The Razoryak Tournament Trail. I had no clue there were 100s of yak anglers in my area who loved this sport as much as me, Today those people are some of my best friends. Now that I joined KBF, Im able to live the dream of fishing all over the country with great people who love this sport as much as I do. Im also very grateful that my son, Brayden loves this sport as much as I do. In the not too distant future, my wife and I plan on buying a RV and then living our dream of being able to travel all over the country, fishing in tournaments, paddling new water, and meeting more great people in this sport.
