River Smallmouth Showdown (Winter Series Part 2)
As much as we hate to admit, the nice weather is quickly fading here in the midwest. Luckily for us, all the fair weather fisherman are disappearing with it. That means we can get back to our favorite smallie streams and enjoy them alone. This tournament will take place over the span of two months, giving anglers ample time to enjoy the (cold) outdoors and catch 5 fish.
This event is open to the general public fishing in IL, IN, WI, MI, IA, OH, MN and MO.
Registration will remain open for the first two weeks of January. However, no submissions caught before an individual's signup date will be accepted.
Smallmouth Bass is the only acceptable species for this tournament and all fishing must take place on publicly accessible rivers/creeks. In other words, you must be fishing moving water. No fish caught within the boundary of a lake/pond will be accepted.
Best 5 fish (length) will determine the winners of this event.
All fish must be submitted within 24 hours of being caught otherwise they will not count.
Eligible Fish Pictures: All fish pictures must be loaded into your TourneyX.com dashboard to be scored for this event. Each fish must be a minimum of 12 inches in length. Each fish must be measured on a Hawg Trough or Ketch Products bump board with your tournament identifier in view.
EXIF (location) data must be attached to each image file submitted for verification that the fish was caught in eligible waters. Any photos lacking location data will be denied/disqualified, no questions asked. Please ensure that you have this feature turned on and functioning before signing up.
Due to the energetic nature of river Smallmouth Bass, PICTURES MAY BE SUBMITTED WITH AN OPEN MOUTH WITHOUT PENALTY.
Please make an effort to measure the fish on a wet measuring board and return them to the water as quickly as possible, especially on cold days.
The rules and regulations of this tournament will adhere to KBF standards, with the exception that participants may wade or fish from shore without the use of a kayak/canoe.
