2019 MAKB: Lake Nippenicket
Many of you expressed disappointment that we did not have a night tournament on the schedule this year, so we'll be hosting one this coming Saturday night at Lake Nippenicket.
John Ferreira will be running this one. To coincide with the KBF One Night Stand, this one will start at 6 PM and run until midnight (the One Night Stand runs until 8 AM, if you want to keep fishing after).
This will NOT count toward the Angler of the Year race.
We will be using TourneyX for this event.
This is NOT a free event! Entry fees will be collected in person prior to launch.
Watercraft permitted for use during
competition are limited to kayaks, canoes, or similar crafts propelled by paddle, pedal, or electric
motor.
No gasoline-powered boats, sailboats, john boats, float tube, pontoon boat, or similar craft will be permitted.
No pre-fishing two days prior to the event.
Launch Location: 162 Lakeside Drive, Bridgewater, MA
Check-in: 4:30–5:30 PM
Early Launch: 5:45 PM
Tournament Hours: 6 PM to 12 AM*
* Lines out at 12 AM, be back to the launch by 12:30 AM
Entry Fee: $30
Optional Pickerel Lunker Fee: $5
Again, this is NOT a free event! Entry fees will be collected in person prior to launch.
As a proud Kayak Bass Fishing partner, MAKB has adopted Kayak Bass Fishing's Competition Rules Standards. All anglers are expected to read, understand, and adhere to these rules.
Rules Addendum:
Though
KBF has upped the minimum submission length from 8 to 12 inches last
year, we are going to continue to allow an 8-inch minimum at our events.
Special notes for this event:
1. As the bulk of this tournament will take place in the dark, you must have a white light—head lamp, flashlight, 360º navigation light, etc.—on board and visible.
2. I would highly encourage bringing a whistle or air horn as well.
3. Lake Nippenicket is inside the Bridgewater Triangle. Sasquatch repellent is encouraged.
