2020 MAKB: The Three Lake Throwdown
The sixth Massachusetts Kayak Bassin' event of the season, and our annual Three Lake Throwdown!
Registration deadline is Thursday, August 13, at 5 PM!
Though each angler will be fishing one of three lakes—Glen Charlie Pond, Agawam Mill Pond, or Snipatuit Pond—this format is intended to be a quasi-"mystery" event. On Thursday, August 13, at 7 PM, we will pull each angler's location from the proverbial hat on Facebook Live. Random draw. The lake chosen for you is the lake you'll fish for the duration of the event.
To continue social-distancing during this pandemic, we will not be gathering before or after this event. However, as there will be smaller groups launching at each location, we ask that you please keep your distance and respect each other.
Watercraft permitted for use during
competition are limited to kayaks, canoes, or similar crafts propelled by paddle, pedal, or electric
motor.
No gasoline-powered boats, sailboats, john boats, float tubes, pontoon boats, or similar crafts will be permitted.
No pre-fishing two days prior to the event.
Snipatuit Pond State Ramp: 489 Neck Road, Rochester, MA
Glen Charlie Pond Launch Location: 1 Blissful Lane, Wareham, MA
Early Launch: 5:45 AM
Tournament Hours: 6 AM to 2 PM
Photo Upload Deadline: 2:00 PM
Entry Fee: $60 *
Optional Pickerel Lunker Fee: $10
We're trying something different this year. The entry fee is $10 more than normal. That extra $10 will go to the anglers with the biggest limit at each lake.
For instance, if we have thirty anglers total, the angler with the biggest five-fish limit at each lake will receive $100. And of course one angler, the overall winner, will receive an additional $100.
* Approximately $7 from all entry fees goes toward paying TourneyX and PayPal fees.
As a proud Kayak Bass Fishing partner, MAKB has adopted Kayak Bass Fishing's Competition Rules Standards. However, we do a few things differently, which you can read in our Rules Addendum.
All anglers are expected to read, understand, and adhere to these rules.
Special Notes for This Event:
1. The three-digit identifier code will be randomly generated and go
live on TourneyX on Friday, August 14, at 8 PM. It will also be e-mailed
and posted on Facebook.
2. Anyone caught fishing prior to 6 AM will disqualified and banned from all future events. No exceptions.
3. Please use the Check-In/Check-Out feature on the TourneyX PRO app before you launch and when you leave.
4. The standings will be turned off at noon, two hours before the end
of the event.
5. If you enter the optional pickerel lunker pool, please upload all
pickerel to TourneyX as you would a bass, but choose Pickerel for
the fish type when submitting.
All pickerel submissions will be denied to remove them from the main standings. They are still visible for judging, however.
6. You may use fish grips while measuring pickerel (only pickerel). Just make sure the grips do not block where the nose of the fish touches the fence of the measuring board.
We will also not deduct for mouths open on pickerel. If there is a tie, anglers will split the pool evenly.
