The Shootout is a one day opportunity for at least 2 anglers to qualify for The Tournament of Champions. Any angler is eligible to enter as long as they have participated in at least 1 BOS event during the 2020 season. TOC qualified anglers are allowed to participate in this event, but are only competing for cash.  All remaining TOC qualifying spots will be filled at this event.

Boundaries: Anglers can launch at any public access or ramp on Lake Tellico, also labeled on google maps as Little Tennessee River. Angler cannot fish beyond highway 321 in the canal leading to Ft Loudon. The Chilhowee Dam is the physical boundary in the river.  The Fairview Boat Ramp will be considered a launch boundary up the Tellico River arm.  Anglers CAN'T launch up- stream from this ramp, but they are allowed to fish above it.  

Entry Fee: $150.  A portion of this entry applies to normal administrative fees.  A portion will go to building the TOC pot. The remainder will get paid out to the top 10% of the field.

Covid Protocol- This event will operate contactless and without physical gatherings.  We will hold a Drive-thru check-in Thursday night at Farragut Community center parking lot.  We will check metal ketch boards, apply required sticker, pass out IDs and be selling BOS gear.  This will take place from 6-7pm.  There will be a virtual meeting around 730 on BOS Facebook page.

Timeline:

Oct 24th: Communication with or hiring of a guide on tournament waters is now off limits.

Nov 9th- Official practice period begins.  Anglers must be pre-fishing in tournament legal craft. Motors are legal for practice only.

Nov 11th- Registration ends at Midnight.

Nov 12th- Pre-fishing ends at 4pm

              Check-in runs from 6-7 at HQ. Anglers must have their metal ketch board

              Virtual Meeting on Hobie BOS Facebook page will start at 730.

Nov 13th- First Launch is at 630am

              First Cast is at 7am

              Fishing Ends at 3pm

              Submission deadline is 4pm

              Awards for top 10% will be at 5pm at HQ

The top 2 anglers will then be invited to immediately join our TOC Opening Night Banquet.
