This Michigan Big Bass Bracket is Presented in Partnership between Michigan Big Bass Kayak League and Topwater Media Inc. This will be a bracketed pairing style tournament with both a Championship and Consolation Bracket. Open to the first 64 anglers to sign up. Michigan public accessible waters only. Registration Fee: $50 Michigan Big Bass Bracket Signup: (Website Link Here) Waiver & Release must be signed at event registration. 64 Angler Participants will be randomly assigned a pairing matchup, and region by the MBBKL & TMI TD's using a random pairing software. The pairings and regional assignments will be shown Live during a Topwater Live Broadcast Thursday April 23rd @ 8pm EST. Winner is determined by which Participant submitted the longest length Bass specie during the allotted eligible fishing time for that period. (Periods shown below) The goal of the competitor is to catch the one longest Bass you can in that time period. Participants can cull as many fish as necessary in order to submit the one longest Bass that they can during the period. This is NOT an accumulation of multiple Bass length submissions as a normal tournament setting would be, We will only determine the winner by your one longest Bass. This is a BIG BASS formatted tournament. Participants will compete 1 vs 1 with your assigned paired matchup during the eligible fishing time period. At the conclusion of the fishing period a winner will be determined by which Participant submitted the largest overall length of 1 Bass Specie. Results will be turned off during the last 24 hrs of period competition. Winners will be announced Live on a Topwater Live broadcast. The winner of that round will continue on in the Championship bracket and will be repaired with a new matchup via the regional bracket outline for the following alloted fishing time period, just like the March Madness Basketball brackets for example. Each period's winners will continue to move on in the tournament bracket until Four Regional Champions are determined (North, South, East, West). The Final Four Regional Champs will compete against each other during the final period to crown the first ever Michigan Big Bass Bracket Champion. Once a Participant is eliminated from the weekly Championship Bracket matchup, they will be automatically added to the following weeks separate Consolation Bracket Pool. Here you will have one more chance to compete in the following weeks fishing period vs. the other eliminated Participants from the previous week for your chance at winning a premiere Gift Card redeemable at participating Sponsor locations. The Gift Card amounts will increase week by week in the Consolation Bracket. Once you have competed in a Consolation period Participants are finished at that time and will no longer advance in either bracket. Each week the Consolation Bracket Pool will reset with a new set of eliminated Participants from the previous weeks Championship Bracket. The Consolation Bracket Pools will begin in week 2 of competition with Pool 1, which will host the 32 eliminated Participants from the previous week 1 Championship Bracket eliminations, the following week Consolation Bracket will host Pool 2 of 16, than Pool 3 of 8, & finally Pool 4 of 4.
