NC Speckled Trout Kayak Tournament

Format : Kayak only, 4 Fish limit. 31 days to compete. Fish must be alive for the photo, we cannot keep you from keeping your daily creel limit, but we can deny dead fish pictures. We encourage all CPR (catch, photo, release) for trout over 20 inches long!
Entry Fee : $35 entry fee, $5 goes towards TourneyX angler fee, $1 goes towards PayPal fees, the rest goes towards payout. Optional Big Fish Pot $10.
Payout : 5-9 Anglers, winner takes all. 10-19 anglers, First and second place. 20-29 anglers, First, second, and third..etc. If a tie is to occur, winner will go to the biggest fish. If there is a tie to occur with the big fish as well, it will go to the person who uploaded theirs first.
Legal Waters : Any public waters in North Carolina that has a public launch or public access.
NO LIVE BAIT OR CUT BAIT...ARTIFICIAL ONLY.
All fish must be caught via hook, no nets..
PFD REQUIRED : Photos will be denied if the anglers picture shows he/she is wearing no PFD. The PFD does not have to be included in the picture. (LIFE JACKET)
Anglers must adhere to state and local rules regarding waterways and any restricted areas.
Approved Boards : any Ketch Products boards or Hawg Trough, MUST have marked lines as well as a sticker or marking on the fence!! (If you do not darken lines or add a fence sticker on the HT, it can be hard for judges and we are not responsible for misjudged pictures due to no marks)
Fish Pictures : The jaw of the speckled trout must be touching the fence with mouth completely closed!
If the mouth is visibly open or the mouth is visibly not touching the fence there will be a 1" penalty. If the fishes mouth is completely open in the submitted picture, it will be denied.
Your hand can hold the fish down, but it CANNOT cover the gill plate or eyes. Your hand CANNOT be touching or covering the tail, you can touch the area leading up to the tail. Ensure the jaw/nose/head/gill plate/tail is clearly visible. Any picture submitted like this will be denied. Fish CANNOT be restrained with a hook or fish grip, only your hand can hold the fish down. Make sure photos are not blurry. Kayak must be visible in each photo.
Judging : Fish will be judged to the quarter inch mark that the tail touches or passes. If the tail passes a mark but does not touch the next quarter inch mark, it will be rounded down to the one it passes. If your fishes happens to be longer than your measuring board, it will be judged to the last mark on the board. Anything past that cannot be judged. Identifier must be in each picture and visible to read.
Fish Picture Position : Measuring board fence MUST be on the LEFT side of the photo. Fish MUST be facing with the jaw towards the fence with the dorsal fin facing up. No other way will be accepted. If the fishes left eye is missing or hazed over and possibly makes the fish appear dead, please take a video of the fish's release to clear up a possibly dead fish.
Net Marks : We have the right to deny a fish or multiple fish if they are suspected of being caught in a net and not by hook and line.
Identifier : The ID for this tournament will be released on the TourneyX Pro app on 12/31/2020 at 8:00 PM EST. The identifier needs to be clearly visible in each picture.
Picture submissions MUST have your tournament identifier code in the image. Any submission without this identifier code will not be approved. You may write this code on anything as long as it is clearly visible in each photo.
