PaddleNFin Noobs Championship
ONLY THE ANGLERS LISTED ON THE PADDLENFIN NOOBS TOURNAMENT PAGE ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE IN THIS TOURNAMENT
The tournament will be a little bit different however.
Anglers will only get to choose to fish 1 day out of 8 different days to fish. They must still fish in public waters and follow all KBF standard rules along with PaddleNFin noobs tournament rules.
EACH ANGLER IS REQUIRED TO DECLARE WHAT DAY THEY ARE FISHING ON THE POST IN THE NOOBS FACEBOOK GROUP WHAT DAY THEY ARE FISHING.
A new code for each day will be released the night before at 8:30PM. Code can be written on a piece of paper, hand or other means and must be completely legible and visible in photo submissions. If an angler does not catch anything on their day they choose to fish, they are REQUIRED to submit a picture of their measuring board with identifier code on it by 8:00pm that day.
Dates to choose from:
October 12th - October 19th
Lines in 6:00AM
Lines out 7:00PM
Fish submissions must be in by 8PM of chosen date
Top 3 Anglers will be paid out
Standard KBF Rules will be followed along with additional guidelines as listed below:
VESSEL & ANGLER
Kayaks, canoes and SUP's only, no boats or bank fishing. Trolling motors are allowed. PFD MUST be worn at all times. Flag MUST be visible on your vessel at all times (home made is fine). White light must be visible 360 degrees before and after safe light (homemade is fine). Anglers must have a valid fishing license for the state they are fishing in and must follow all guidelines and regulations of their state and local authorities.
NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ARE TO BE CONSUMED OR VISIBLE ON WATERCRAFT WHILE FISHING FOR THIS TOURNAMENT.
PFD MUST BE COMPLETELY ZIPPED AND BUCKLED.
If your PFD is not worn properly in any of photo submissions, you will automatically be disqualified for the day.
Measuring devices allowed:
Any Ketch board or YELLOW Hawg Trough (lines of the Hawg Trough must be colored in and be visible for judging). Using a white Hawg Trough or any other measuring device will get your fish disqualified.
Artificial lures only, no live bait.
Conventional rod and reels only.
CATCHING THE FISH:
Acceptable fish species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and spotted bass.
5 fish limit.
Fish must be caught alive and released alive after photo is taken.
Fish must be caught by the competing angler.
Only one rod may be used at a time and must be in your hand, trolling in a rod holder is not allowed.
Public bodies of water only.
No private ponds or lakes allowed.
Snatching or snagging fish is not allowed.
PHOTOGRAPHING THE FISH:
Each fish may only be submitted once.
“Location Services” must be “on” on your phone so judges can verify the fish was caught on public waters.
Fish must be pictured facing left, dorsal fin up. Hand may be on the fish but cannot cover the eye or be on the tail.
The lips of the fish must be touching the wall of the fence. No other items such as wrist band can be touching the mouth of the lips of the fish.
Pictures must be taken from directly above, no angles.
Vessel must be visible in submitted pictures.
Mouth must be closed. If mouth is open, 1” will be deducted from the overall length.
Fish must be at least 10” long to count. Any deductions that would put the fish under 10” will disqualify the fish (example: 10” fish with 1” deduction for open mouth would make the fish 9” and therefore would disqualify the fish and wouldn't count).
The entire fish must be in the picture along with the wall of the bump board.
Identifier must be in the picture. It can be written on your hand, piece of paper, tourney tag, etc but must be fully and clearly visible. The identifier cannot be on the fish in any way, shape or form. (If half of the identifier is underneath something it will not count)
Fish will be measured to the nearest 1/4” rounding down. Tail must visibly touch or cross a line on the board to be counted at that length.
Any attempt to alter a measuring board or cheat of any kind will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament and possible ban from future events.
Rules may be changed at any time to ensure no unfair loopholes or cheating occurs. Any changes made will be posted on the Paddle N' Fin Facebook page.
