VKT Aug 1 Day Open Western Branch Reservoir

The Addendum rules specific to VKT can be found to the right of this page by selecting “View Rules” link. The Angler is responsible for reading and understanding these rules so PLEASE read them. They are in effect as of January 1, 2019.
MUST HAVE A NORFOLK LAKE PERMIT
Permits can be purchased at 2 places: Oceans East on Northampton Blvd in Norfolk -or- Norfolk Public Water Company in downtown Norfolk.
2019 Year permit is $40 unless you are a Norfolk resident then it is $20.
You can also buy a one day permit for $5 at the same locations.
This permit covers the following lakes: Lake Burnt Mills, Western Branch Reservoir, Lake Prince, Lake Smith, Little Creek Reservoir (Virginia Beach), Lake Whitehurst
Tournament times as follows: (TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR IS THE OFFICIAL TIMES)
Captains Meeting: 6:00 AM **MUST BE PRESENT**
Lines In: 6:30 AM
Lines Out: 2:30 PM
You have until 3:00 PM to submit all fish and will also be the time we meet back at HQ (Captains Meeting location)
1-Inch deduction for every minute late. 15 minutes or more late you will be disqualified.
**PFD REQUIRED TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON WATER**
There are no membership fees required for VKT events.
Registration will close at 7:00 PM the night before the tournament start.
There is a three (3) angler minimum required to start an in-person VKT event.
The identifier will be released at the mornings Captains Meeting prior to the start of the tournament. You must attend this Captains Meeting which will be held 30 mins before scheduled tournament start.
Payouts are as follows after subtracting: Tourney-X® fees ($5.00), Pay-Pal Fees ($1.50) and Classic Fees ($3.50).
1st place – 100%
1st Place – 60%
2nd Place – 40%
1st Place – 50%
2nd Place – 30%
3rd Place – 20%
Big Bass – 100%
AOY Points as follows:
100 – 1st Place
98 – 2nd Place
96 – 3rd Place
94 - 4th Place
92 – 5th Place…
Angler who fished the event but had no fish receives 20 points less than the lowest angler with fish in the event.
Final AOY points will be calculated using the anglers top 10 events (In-Person and/or Online).
Qualification to fish the Classic
1. Come in 1st Place in any Event
2. Fish a combination of 7 In-Person and/or Online events
3. Be in the top 10 in AOY points (NO Roll Downs)
