WTBY 2019 Season Closer

WTBY 2019 Season Closer will be MLF style kayak tournament where every bass over 13 inches counts.

Captains Meeting

An online captains meeting will be held via the WTBY Facebook page on Friday 9/13.  Everyone will be required to comment on the WTBY Facebook page that they have watched the video.

Safety

Anglers are required to wear Coast Guard Approved PFD at all times while on the water.  Anglers must go to the bank if need arises to remove PFD.  Angler seen without PFD on the water will be DQed immediately.  In the event of inclement weather, the Angler will use sound judgement to remove themselves from the water and head for safety.

Photo Submissions

  • All eligible bass will be submitted to TourneyX for judging.
  • All bass must be at least 13 inches.
  • All Bass must be caught by rod and reel.  No purposely snagging of Bass.
  • Only one line in the water at a time.
  • Kayak must be visible in photo.
  • Hawg Trough and Ketch Board are ONLY approved measuring devices.
  • Entire bass must be in photo and next numbered measurement on the board must be visible in the photo.
  • Lip of Bass must be touching the bump board on the end of the measuring device
  • Bass must be facing left.
  • Mouth must be closed.  1/4 inch deduction if board can be seen through the crack of  mouth. Fish will be DQed if no attempt is made to close mouth.
  • Tail must at least touch the next 1/4 inch line.
  • Dorsal fin must face upward.
  • Tail may be pinched to extend length.
  • Assigned identifier must be in photo.
  • No restraining devices allow in photo.
  • Hook must be removed from Bass prior to photo.
  • Bass eye must be visible.
  • No part of the hand under the gill plate.

Times

There will be two sessions for the event as described below:

  • First session: Lines in at 06:00, Lines out at 10:00.
  • First check-in at 10:30 till 11:30 at Beech Lake Pavilion.
  • Second session: Lines in at 12:00, Lines out at 16:00.
  • Second check-in at 16:30 at Beech Lake pavilion.
  • Awards and food will immediately follow the check-in

Eligible Water

Anglers will be required to fish a different body of water in each session.

  • Beech Lake (BRWDA permit)
  • Browns Creek Lake (TWRA permit)
  • Cedar Lake (BRWDA permit)
  • Dogwood Lake (BRWDA permit)
  • Pin Oak Lake (TN Dept. of Conservation permit)
  • Pine Lake (BRWDA permit)
  • Redbud Lake (BRWDA permit)
  • Sycamore Lake (BRWDA permit)

Identifiers

Identifier code may be written on paper, hand, or any other surface.  No matter the surface identifier must appear clearly in photo.  Identifier for first session will be announced in online captains meeting of Friday night.  Identifier for second session will be announced at the first check-in.

Propulsion

Paddle, Peddle, and Electric motors are all eligible during this event.

All rules, interpretations, and decision are completely up to the tournament directors discretion and are final.
