1. Largemouth Bass
2. Smallmouth Bass
5. Trout (all species)
7. Catfish (all species)
How it works
The WV WARS is given to the top 3 Anglers who accumulate points based on catches (in length) of the eight (8) species listed. WV WARS awards are distributed at the last #WVKA event of the year, The Awards Banquet held in October. Largest fish in each category will get 100 points... 2nd 95... 3rd 90 and down... We will calculate totals for each fish category and determine winner.

Event Specific Rules (no exceptions!)
*All submissions must be caught between February 1, 2019 and September 30, 2019
*All submissions by Catch, Photo, Release (CPR) and Hawg Troughs, Fish Stix and Ketch Boards are the only measuring device allowed. Make sure each of the 1 inch, 1/2 inch, and 1/4 inch lines are marked with a permanent marker. If the fish (muskie or catfish) is larger than a your board a tape measure can be used, but the exact length must be shown. It is encouraged to take multiple pictures and submit them to the tournament director for best measurement score.
*Toothy Fish (Muskie or Walleye) will be accepted on the hawg Trough or substitute measuring device using a fish grip to hold... we do not want to see anyone injured attempting to get a measurement
*All fish must be caught while in a kayak. (wading is permitted granted you used a kayak to get to the remote location)., No bank fishing, etc.
GPS Location must be used to verify ALL FISH were caught in WV Waters and Time Stamped for duration of this event...
ALL KBF Rules are in play. LM Bass SM Bass Crappy, and Bluegill will be scored with mouth closed... 1 inch penalty applies to open mouth,
CatFish can be scored belly down therefore not harm the whiskers of the fish.
Muskie and Walleye can be scored using the fish grips to old mouth next to bump board
*All fish must be caught on rod and reel ONLY.
* No LIVE Bait.
*For catfish, the use of chicken livers or prepare baits is allowed.
*All fish must be caught in WV waters.
For the online events we are collecting $20.00 per individual... Payouts will be adjusted based on participation levels. At the Individual levels.
For example, events that have 40 Individuals ($800.00 collected) Half is used for payouts... other half is used for hosting and paying judges at TourneyX

2) 70.00 & plaque
3) 50.00 & plaque
Total payout is $270.00 Plus top three (each group) will get plaques ($130) 100% payout
* For an event that has less that twenty (20) anglers... we will only pay the top three (3) Anglers
